MYTEE - Side Puller Recovery Tool
Recovering a vehicle from a ditch is now easy with Mytee Products’ latest addition, dubbed side puller recovery tool. It’s a three-roller guide system that helps recover vehicles at specified angles, making it perfect for off-road emergencies. Different angles provide a proper vehicle recovery from difficult spots, including narrow parking spaces, vehicles stuck in mud, snow, etc., without disrupting the traffic. The towing trucks will remain parallel to the road, taking less space while maintaining the traffic flow. You can also utilize it in dealing with heavy loads during repositioning. There are more functions of this recovery accessory that provide better stabilization at a perfect angle, enhancing your towing experience. Learn more below:-
- Resilient Build: This recovery tool’s body is constructed from steel to ensure durability and tensile strength. The bottom and side rollers are engineered from polypropylene and steel, respectively. It will efficiently handle the pulling forces of up to 9,000 lbs without permanent deformation. Thus ensuring smooth operation during rugged towing and recovery tasks.
- Protective Coating: The body material is yellow powder coated, a protective layer that ensures long-lasting performance in outdoor environments and high visibility during operation. The layering further safeguards the tool against wear, corrosion, rust, and more, reducing the need for frequent replacement and maintenance and making it an economical choice in the towing industry.
- Compatibility Points: Check the pointers below:-
- It replaces Zip’s ZP-SPZ part number and seamlessly fits on all Miller Industries 10, 12, & 16 Series steel car carriers (must include standard key slot holes along the rear approach plate).
- Our side puller tool is designed to fit seamlessly on the steel and aluminum decks of car carrier rollbacks and tow trucks.
- You might have to drill a mounting hole of 2-1/4" for installation on an aluminum deck, keeping a 5-1/2" distance from the center of the hole to the back edge of the deck—an equal distance from the side rails.
- It’s recommended to use a 3/8" size winch line (not included) for towing and recovering vehicles. You can utilize other wire ropes if they seamlessly fit and don’t exceed 9,000 lbs load capacity.
- 3-Roller Guide System Functionality: The side puller recovery tool is specially designed to tow vehicles at a proper angle without affecting traffic flow. The unique three-roller guide system helps recover the vehicles from two different angles, 180-degree (side to side) and 90-degree (downward pull), enabling your truck to remain parallel to the road and not take up much space. The side puller recovery tool features two side rollers that provide the angles mentioned above to the winch line and wire rope (sold separately). For proper usage of the puller, keep the below points in mind:-
- Keep the bed of the car carrier in an upright and locked position.
- Before recovering or towing, double-check that the winch line and wire rope (sold separately) are positioned correctly in the puller. A little preparation goes a long way in ensuring a smooth operation!
- Keep the wire toward the rear approach plate to prevent the cable from rubbing.
- The puller should be in the lock position before operation.
- Unique Design: The sleek design of this tool will enable you to store the pulley in any compact space, including the underbody mounting tool box. The lightweight quality will ensure easy portability, saving you time and effort. Thus making one of the excellent auto towing and hauling supplies you’ll encounter.
- Quick & Easy Installation: You can easily install the recovery tool using the keyhole slots at the rear approach plate. It should be attached to the tailboard of the tow truck or car carrier bed. Secure the puller with a retaining pin (included) to keep the winch centered during operation. The shank is long enough to ensure safe installation on both decks.
